the rulebook
// important
• Please be sure to read all of the rules and check back frequently for updates.
• If you feel that any rule is unfair or biased, please speak up about it.
• Rule #7 is in effect until further notice, please contact a staff member if you have any questions about it.
// ooc rules
1• Please respect all members, regardless of their ranking. AGR attempts to be a friendly and welcoming community, therefore we ask our members to try and keep a positive attitude during OOC. Though we do not want their to be severe bashing IC, members are expected to be mature enough to handle in character arguments/fights.
2• A Generation Reborn is targeted for a mature audience, our members preferably being older than the age of 13. *WARNING: There will be swearing, blood, violence, gore, sexual situations, and other mature content that may not be pleasant to the younger eye.
3• All members that join AGR are expected to provide a roleplay sample that proves the moderate understanding of literacy and grammar. We do not expect every member to constantly roleplay large paragraphs, but we do expect members to be able to provide more than three sentence responses. This literacy does not have to constantly be displayed OOCly, but we do not want to constantly read text talk.
4• AGR currently accepts characters of all sexual preferences and genders,as long as you keep it realistic and non-bashing. BUT, when it comes to disorders and disabilities, we will have a staff discussion over the disability/disorder. AGR WILL NOT tolerate ANY harassment over sensitive topics like sexuality, gender identity, religion, race, sex, disorders, disabilities, etc. This is the only rule that if it is broken, you are automatically banned from the roleplay. *Please note that even though we do respect your religion, we expect members to ICly believe in StarClan and/or the Dark Forest.
5• We use a three strike system, meaning if you end up with three strikes, you are out of the roleplay. No member will have more than three chances.
// ic rules
6• Wolf speak, auto-hitting, and powerplay will not be tolerated in roleplay. When in combat, we prefer members to go off of an attempt system. (E.g. Spiderstar attempts to scratch the loner's nose.)
7• Since AGR's backstory/plot begins with the creation of the clans, ALL members are expected to have their history as either a loner, rogue, or kittypet. Even though leaders have a blood relation with felines of the original book clans, members ARE NOT allowed to be related to cats from the books. This rule will be eliminated once a new generation rolls around and clan blood is once again pure (20 years or so). ***If you need clarity on this, feel free to contact any staff member.
8• Clan hopping is not accepted. Once you put your character in a clan, it will stay in that clan until that character dies.
9• Visions are only to happen to medicine cats and leaders. StarClan will only visit other felines if it is apart of an approved prophecy.
10• Forbidden loves MUST be accepted by Pawesome and Ducks. If forbidden loves become a problem and begin to get out of hand, they will be banned and no longer allowed. *Kits will stay with the mother and her clan until they are 6 moons and able to decide which clan they wish to live in.
11• A Generation Reborn attempts to be realistic in the markings, fur coloring, height, breeds, and eye coloring. We ask that members try to uphold a standard of realism when it comes to creating characters. Cat, cow or neko ears will be the only ear types accepted. Rounded, tailess or lynx tails are the only tails allowed. As far as eyes go, please keep it realistic in color and type. NO SILVER/WHITE EYES UNLESS YOUR CHARACTER IS BLIND. Breeds and gender does determine height, but we ask that you stick close to our limitations on size. No cat is to be larger than Spiderstar of CavernClan and no cat is to be smaller than Minkstar of RiftClan. WE DO HAVE A HEIGHT LIMIT THAT WE EXPECT YOU TO FOLLOW.
SMALLEST WARRIOR HEIGHT
AVERAGE WARRIOR HEIGHT
TALLEST WARRIOR HEIGHT
12• Each member is allowed a maximum of TWO characters at this time. These characters can be in any clan or group that you desire, just remember to be active on both characters.
13• Kits without a mother will NOT be accepted into the roleplay. Members who wish to be a kitten will need to audition. Queens have the responsibility of setting up auditions for their kits. The maximum number of kits in a litter will be 4.
14• Killing off a character must be approved by Pawesome and Ducks before it happens, even if the character is to die in a fight.
15• Healing, pregnancy, training, and aging all have specific rules that we expect our members to follow. For more information, continue reading and be sure to follow our time lapse rules.
16• Please have a realistic name that makes sense. Cats don't know what opals are, or diamonds. In your name, don't add a 'M' or 'F' to show your gender, that's what bios are for. (For example; Snakefang M). Please lowercase your suffix if you have it uppercase. (For example; FinchLeap needs to be Finchleap). If you make a kit and it is unborn, NAME YOUR KIT and then place a U in the tag (E.g. Mousekit CCUK). Also, if your tag does not completely fit into your name, we may ask you to change your name in order to fit the tag. NO USE OF POPULAR BOOK NAMES AS NAMES.
// time rules
17• Our aging guide has been created so that everyone can hopefully understand and stick by the rule. Even if you are inactive for over a week, your character will still continue to age. Remember one moon is equal to one month.
Kits - 1 IRL Week = 3 Moons
Every Other Feline - 1 IRL Week = 1 Moon
18• There will be Medicine Cat and Clan Gatherings every week. During the Clan Gatherings, every member is expected to age a moon, whether they are able to attend the gathering or not.
19• Queens are pregnant for 1-2 IRL weeks, giving them enough time for gestation and time to find people to roleplay their kits. After birthing her kits, a queen shall stay a queen for around 2 IRL Weeks (until her kits are 6 moons old).
20• Injuries, depending on the severity, will take a certain number days or moons to heal. For example, a sprained paw will take around 3-4 days to heal, whereas a broken limb will take around 3 moons (3 weeks). *Medicine cats should have a perfect understanding of this rule so that they can safely and accurately heal their patients.
// staff rules
21• Since staff can even become a bit astray when it comes to certain issues, we ask that all staff members (Admins, Mods, and Helpers) learn these rules and follow them. Staff members go by a three strike system, three strikes and you're out. Any issues with staff obeying these rules will be handled by Pawesome and Ducks.
22• Staff should be respected as well as be respectful. Try to maintain a positive and friendly attitude, even when you are having to be a bit more strict.
23• Do NOT give out the map password unless you are sure the member has taken the time to read the rules and has provided a literacy satisfying roleplay sample.
24• If you are ever stuck between an action that needs to be taken, seek advice from other staff members. Staff are supposed to work together to make AGR the best it can be, which means the staff needs to work as a team.
25• Activity is important for staff, considering the staff members are the high ranks of the roleplay. Staff members are expected to roleplay frequently and attempt to be on daily. Staff members SHOULD attend every gathering, unless something major IRL comes up.
26• Every Leader, Deputy, and Medicine Cat have access to their Clan's recruiting account. Staff members are trusted with these accounts and are allowed to recruit whenever they feel necessary.
27• Pawesome and Ducks have immediate power on all decisions involving AGR, yet a Staff census will be held when it comes to making decisions.
// map rules
28• Each member is to stay in their own Clan's territory unless they are given permission by the leaders to cross borders. Loners, rogues, and kittypets are allowed to roam, but should politely ask a leader to enter areas that are closer to a Clan's camp.
29• The map password is to be given out by staff members only. To ensure that this rule is followed, the map password will change frequently.
30• Kits are NOT allowed to leave camp under any circumstances. Apprentices and Elders MUST have an accompanying Warrior.
